As VP Business Development at BlackRidge Technology he is responsible for leading the company’s international business expansion in various industry verticals such as IoT/IIoT, automotive, telecom, finance, health care by leveraging its military grade zero trust cybersecurity model.

At B.Yond aka Nexius he leads international business expansion of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence driven Network Intelligence and Operations Automation for the leading global Service Providers. He has previously held executive and management positions at XConnect Global Networks, ON2 Technology (acquired by Google), VocalTec Communications, and Nortel Networks.

As serial entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience Rolf is driving international technology and business development for Fortune 100 and startup companies.

Rolf is a founding member of RAL Capital Ltd. and Xona Partners Ltd. a boutique M&A advisory and incubator specialized in Internet, Media, Mobile Technologies and Fintech, leading strategy, technology transformation and due diligence projects.

Rolf is the founder of two online media firms for content aggregation, Video on Demand, and music distribution as well as co-founder of Accrete, an SMS based identity management company which went public (JPX: 4395) in July 2018.

Throughout his career, Rolf has been fostering innovation of emerging technologies such as the adaptation of Internet Telephony, licensed Flash Video to Adobe & Sun Microsystems which led to global adaptation, implemented VoD/MoD streaming services before companies understood its potential, built peering federations to enable HD voice and video across fixed and mobile networks. With strong focus nowadays on Cybersecurity, Fintech, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and other key technologies for the 21-century he is taking an active part in the global task force for promoting Open Source solutions and its regulatory compliance.

Rolf has been a regular speaker and participant at major conferences, including AGL, CeBit, GSMA, GSMA-WAS, OCP, PTC, ACC, Communications Asia and Carrier’s World.

Rolf holds a master’s degree in electronics from Aachen University of Technology in Germany and Japan. He also attended INSEAD business school in France for marketing technology products in local and expanding global sectors.
